She was born here, taken from here as a child, and then returned here—as if her life had no agency. And then she was forced to funnel the energies of onset culture- and gender-bullying, and her mixed feelings of loss, into becoming an educational champion for herself, and later, a bulwark for new San Francisco-area women in business. Rosalidia Dubon, a Los Angeles-to-Honduras-and-back again citizen of the world, has become a symbol of what womanhood, women’s mentorship and entrepreneurship—and single motherhood—can be.
